No more …than 是什么意思？不是no more than

要翻译中文的话，一般应该是“同...一样不”这个意思。因为no more前面会有一个东西A，than后面会有一个东西B，实际上是AB两个在比较，表示对AB两个都有点否定的意味。不过我觉得光翻译不好理解，用例句好一点。比如说，如果有个又唱歌又跳舞的艺人，但是其实两样都做得很差劲，可以说He is no more a singer than a dancer.“他既不是歌手也不是舞者”。英语答题技巧You are _________ careful than your brother. no more than和not more than各是什么意思？

1. no more than 表示“仅仅”、“只有”(= only)，强调少；而 not more than 表示“不多于”、“至多”(= at most)。如：
He is no more than an ordinary English teacher. 他只不过是个普通的英文老师。
He has no more than three children. 他只有 3 个孩子。
He has not more than three children. 他最多 3 个孩子(有或许还不到 3 个之意)。
