However, he hasonly been seen in the bounds of Faerûn during the Time of Troubles, and heapparently is much more circumspect in his dealings in other regions ofAbeir-Toril, as most other regions have never heard of him.Ao lies beyond the bounds of the rankings of deities’ powers in any way.He is considered to be more powerful than other powers in that he was ableto consign almost all the Forgotten Realms deities to the surface of Faerûnduring the Time of Troubles, and he is also considered to be outside theranking system, in the same way that teachers are outside the rankings of thegrading systems they use to rate the performance of their students. Ao haslittle concern for day-to-day mortal life, but he regards the powers of theRealms as his creations. Ao requires no worshipers and grants no spells tomortals. It is doubtful that he even listens to their prayers or pleas. He servesas a watcher and a guardian over the Realms from outside of its cosmos.Aside from his function during the Time of Troubles, the only responsi-bility that Ao continues to perform in relation to the Realms pertainsto its deities. Finally, this involves promoting mortal beings to the status of gods.Ao may promote any mortal, sentient creature to any stature of godhood(greater power through demipower) instantly if it accepts the responsibili-ties and duties of that state, but he has only exercised that ability to elevatemortals to other than demipower rank during the Time of Troubles,爱欧的本质和力量之迷《圣者五部曲》主要发生在混乱年代，死亡三神Bane（纷争之神）、Myrkul（死者之神）、Bhaal（谋杀之神，他老兄因为博德之门系列而名声大噪）偷走了圣物命运石板，企图发现其中的秘密来要挟神上之神AO。AO发觉后感到十分愤怒，加上他长久以来对诸神的不满，决定借此给这些狂妄家伙一次深刻教训。他召集了所有的神，将他们全部贬下凡尘（主物质界面），每个神可以选择拥有一个圣者（Avatar，也叫神使，可以理解为神的化身），只有找到命运石板的神才可以返回天界（外层界面）。为了防止诸神私自返回外层界面，AO留下了他最信任的一个神Helm，让他来把守返回外层界面的通道。Cyric把三块命运石板献给了AO，为了奖励Cyric，AO把他封为神，并把死亡三神的所有神力都化归给了他。AO当然也不会亏待Midnight，于是Midnight成为了魔法女神。后来AO又试图复活了Bhaal，但并没有成功（Cyric也不是好惹的）。Cyric成了神之后，胃口越来越大，不久他就在影子之神Mask（其实就是 Cyric手上那把魔剑）的帮助下，谋杀了幻影女神Leira，夺取了他的神力。这时的Cyric几乎成了所有神中最为强大的，可惜物极必反，Midnight联合一些正义之神开始对付他，Cyric受了刺激，变得有点神志不清。后来他又发现Mask背叛了他，于是愤怒地折断了手中那把魔剑，这样被囚禁在魔剑中的Kelemvor的灵魂得到了解放。趁着疯狂的Cyric把死亡之地搞得一团糟，Kelemvor成功地接替了Cyric在这个领域地神权，成为了新的死神（Kelemvor是守序中立，总比原来那个邪恶的Myrkul好）。Bane，这个在Time of Troubles被摧毁的神，通过他的恶魔儿子Xvim，也成功复活了，夺取了Cyric在纷争这一块的神权（Cyric、Kelemvor、Bane都是强大神力，可见原来的Cyric能力有多强大！）。后来Cyric 终于在他的信徒的帮助下清醒了，这时他的神权只剩下谎言、欺骗、谋杀了，而且可能还要面对无畏的Bhaal之子的挑战 这是爱欧出场的唯一局面，在这里，它干了三件事（1）把诸神（费伦诸神）打下人间（2）费伦神系已经空出的神职它有着自主权，可以由它赐予新人（3）AO并非无所不能，当Cyric占有杀戮神职，并且达到神力颠峰之时，爱欧试图复活Bhaal来直接剥夺Cyric杀戮神性的努力以失败告终（4）费伦诸神的耶格不受爱欧影响（5）东方卡拉图的天庭、南方泽卡哈诸神、西方马兹特克诸神，虽然名义上仍旧属于爱欧领导（有没有这回事还有点疑问），但是实际上根本不受爱欧命令 （1）爱欧并非无所不能，它对诸神和世界的权力更集中在费伦神系之中，就算在费伦神系中，它也不是随心所欲，它仍旧必须尊重诸神的地位和力量，它就如一个国王一样，对一些力量强大地位最高的大贵族（强大神）也不是这样简单就生杀予夺的（2）至于对于那些精灵诸神的首领科瑞隆·拉瑞辛和安格芮丝，兽人诸神的首领格乌什，矮人诸神的首领莫拉丁，半身人诸神的首领悠妲菈，侏儒诸神首领加尔·闪金和穆罕瑞德诸神首领荷鲁斯－雷，爱欧似乎并不能对它们内部的神职指手画脚（3）至于东方卡拉图的天庭，南方泽卡哈诸神和西方马兹特克诸神更是不鸟它，连把它们打下人间的力量也没有，所以基本上无法影响那就奇怪了，爱欧的本质又是什么，权限又是什么呢？(二)爱欧→I O (英语)→エロ(日语,大家明白的)
